General Discussion
Many people don’t know anything about standing. So they will refute it using scripture all types of scripture to discourage the stander out of their calling.
This is why you need to know what God is saying for yourself.
When God calls a stander to stand it doesn’t make sense to religious folk.
I have seen many share my recent post and saw a mix of emotions from people in their comment section. Saying God would never call you to do that!!!
But it’s all a lie. I remember feeling the same way years ago and God called me to stand for my marriage.
Everyone was telling me to let it go. I remember being invited to church with a good friend.
The pastor spoke God says He has heard your prayers! Then after church she asked to meet with me as if she received a specific word from God that need to be discussed privately.
I met with her in her office. She began to fish for details concerning my marriage. Asking me questions. Then she told me to seek God as though I should not be standing for my spouse. I think she said this out of frustration because she wanted details I refused to give. Inwardly I’m like ma’am you the one said you have a word from the Lord for me! I did not invite you; you invited me to your office. I didn’t say it but my mind definitely was thinking this to myself.
I went back to my friend, I was new in my faith but I was extremely clear on what God told me. I was like no disrespect I know you love your pastor but something was off with her, and she was trying to get information from me, and when that didn’t work she tried to discourage me from standing.
I then asked him is she mentally ill? Because I see a spirit on her.
He was like really nahhh. I never seen any red flags that would point that direction. My friend did confirm that what I experienced was extremely out of character for her, and he was confused by what I told him.
Years later he and I talked and she lost her mind shortly.
We gotta be careful speaking against covenant and steer clear. She spoke the word of the Lord in one breath and had me meet her in her office speaking against the word of God she released publicly over me.
When I say God doesn’t play about covenant. The moment she spoke against my marriage I saw mental illness come over her that had not physically manifested in the natural. I saw her losing her mind before she lost her mind.
